Alison Whiteford Bell BA BD, Managing Director
Alison has two degrees one in business studies which included four years of accountancy, 2 years company law, 1 year statistics, 1 year economics, 1 year organisational behaviour, 1 year IT, and taxation.  Alison also has a BD from 2011.  Alison studied ACCA online and at Dundee College of Commerce for ACCA as an auditing only student, prior to this Alison worked as an Accountant in many different accountancy practices in the Lancashire area in England, Wales, and Perthshire, Scotland, starting as an accounting assistant then worked her way up as she was trained by the different accountants she worked for.  During these years Alison prepared accounts for all types of businesses, sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.  Businesses ranged from takeaway businesses, farmers, contractors, hairdressers, retail shops, pubs, dentists, doctors, and lawyers, and latterly managed the co-ordination of the workload and evaluation and recording of a time and motion system to increase productivity in accountancy practices, as well as identify time consuming tasks for the accountants, and trainees.  The purpose of this was to increase productivity and profitability by retraining, or delegate a particular task to a more profitable member of staff. Recording the stage of work completed each day by each member of staff meant that anyone could take on a different job the next day and know where to start, if someone was ill, or on Holiday. Alison also extended her experience as she worked as a finance manager for a Building company in Perth, as well as with an engineering company.
